Working Smarter, Not Harder in 2024
Hey there, friend. Welcome back to the Crank It Up podcast, well, here we are a couple weeks into this brand new year, 2024. I just love an even number year.
Now I’ll be honest with you. I didn’t love 2020, but I do love even numbered years. So 2024, here we are. And I’ve been on this planet for a lot of these years. I have learned this.
To be successful, you do not need to know all the things.
Now this is a concept that, I’ll be honest with you. Sometimes women struggle with…
For whatever reason, we seem to think we need to know it all and do it all and be it all even though I don’t know who put that expectation on us except for us.
So how about in 2024, we let it go?
Because I’ve learned that to be successful, however you define it, however you define it, you don’t need to know all the things.
You do have strengths and you do have gifts, and you should work to enhance those, amplify those.

It’s an and. And seek out others who can help you in the other areas where maybe you don’t know as much. Right? So here’s a little story for you. My husband was a college football coach for 30 years.
And interestingly enough, for most of those years he was the head football coach. Interestingly enough, he had a staff. Now listen to me. My husband played football his entire life. Child, high school, college.
He then coached that was the only job he ever had. He coached football. So one would think he would know all there is to know about the game of football.
And yet even up till the day he retired, he had a staff because he had gifts and strengths, and he then would seek out other humans on the planet who had expertise and gifts and strengths different from his bring them together, and together, they would create this powerful force that cultivated a team. Right?
Recognize Your Personal Strengths
So we, especially women, I’m talking to you, we’ve gotta let go of this idea that we have to know all the things. Instead, embrace the idea of being a lifelong learner and that coming together and collaboration are the key. Absolutely the key.
So that’s what I’ve learned over a lot of years. I’m not saying it’s easy to learn it, but I’m saying I’m here to shorten your learning curve.
Right? And I’ve learned over all these years on the planet that if you wanna be successful, you won’t do it on your own. And the sooner you accept that, the easier life gets. I promise you.
Collaborate and Learn From Others
So over the next month, I’m introducing you to some really, really cool people that for whatever reason, I have the great blessing to know. Like, really awesome, cool, smart people, and they know a lot of things that I do not know. Imagine that.
They know a lot of things that I do not know. I learn from them all the time, and I want to bring them on to share their expertise and to connect you with some tools and resources so that you can tap into working smarter, not harder in 2024.
Because listen. If you are a female listening to this podcast right now, I’m gonna tell you right now, nobody needs to be telling a woman that they need to work harder in 2024.
However, I’m gonna be the first to tell you, we all need to work smarter.
- We all need to work with more intention.
- We all need to work with more focus.
- We all need to work with more belief.
- We all need to work with more collaboration.
- We all need to stop thinking that we need to know it all and do it all.
We all need to stop not believing in our potential and understand that we can go so much faster when we tap into the strengths of other people who know more.
I’m bringing on some really cool humans, and they know a lot.
And they know a lot of stuff that I don’t know, and I am thrilled to have them in my life. And I am so excited to introduce them to you because you’re gonna be thrilled to have them in your life too, and you’re gonna learn a lot.
So just get ready for this series, working smarter, not harder in 2024. It’s gonna be game changing for you. You’re gonna learn a lot of stuff that you had no idea about.
You’re gonna take a lot of notes because smart people take notes, so I know you’re gonna take notes.
And I’m gonna give you a lot of tools and a lot of resources over the next few weeks to dig into, to collaborate with, and to embrace.
Because here’s what I know.
I know you wanna make 2024 different than 2023.
I know you wanna level up.
I know you wanna crank it up.
So let’s do it.
