It’s been on my heart to share my experience, and some of the lessons I learned at the Team Beachbody Summit. I read a letter that I wrote to my team leaders, and then to the CEO of Beachbody, Carl Daikeler. I later presented this message to thousands of people on stage at Summit. I talk about feeling tired as a woman, holding space for so much, but also wanting to build and dream. I talk about how this business has been a center point in my life, and how it is a vehicle for transformation.
[01:38] A VULNERABLE MOMENT
A few weeks prior to Summit, I had a calling on my heart that was leading to how I wanted to feel on the other side of this event. I shared how I felt with my team in a letter, and I decided to share it with the Beachbody CEO Carl Daikeler as well. Little did I know, I would be reading that letter, in my vulnerability, on the stage at the Summit. I think if we can all be a little more vulnerable, then we can collectively move together, stronger.
[05:35] THE MESSAGE I SHARED
I share my thoughts in the letter I shared first with the leaders, and then with the Beachbody CEO, Carl Daikeler. I talk about how I am holding space for so much right now, good things and bad. I talk about how this business is a vehicle for change by helping women step into their power.
[09:52] I KNOW I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE
I share the piece that I added to my letter to Carl Daikeler about the importance of this message at Summit. On the Tuesday night before Summit happened, he asked me to be part of the closing remarks and read this letter on stage. I know I’m not the only woman who is tired, but also wants to build and dream. This business can help you do that. It’s about transformation.
[14:51] STAYING IN GROWTH MODE
Walking through a global pandemic was challenging, but it is not the only difficult season we’ll face in our lives. This business is how I’ve stayed grounded, centered and in growth mode. I believe it can help any woman become the best version of herself.
[16:20] OPERATING FROM A PLACE OF POSSIBILITY
If you’re tired, I get it. And it’s so amazing to be a part of a company where our CEO gets it too. But what do you have in your life that is your center point? Who do you have in your life that lifts you up? Are you operating from a place of possibility? I will always choose evolution, because it’s so much better than complacency. Growth is the only option.
