“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” – Helen Keller

I’m writing to you this week from the City of Lights and Love—that’s right, Paris. From the culture and architecture to the world-famous destinations and the baguettes (let’s be real here), what’s not to love about this gorgeous city? I’m here with two of my three incredible daughters, Jessy and Josie. After our time in France’s beloved capital as part of Team Shaun T, we’ll spend a couple days in London. Then a few days to regroup—and repack—and it’s off to Disney for time in the parks and a Disney cruise.  You can pinch me now. I’m absolutely in my happy place.

I never imagined in a million years that I’d be a world traveler. I grew up in a tiny farm town in Illinois and started my career as a high school English teacher. Who knew that in my adult life I’d be completely transformed from the inside out by taking one little leap of faith—becoming a fitness coach. Eleven years ago this month, I made that pivotal decision and the path led me here, today, to Paris. And I now I get to travel more—one of my life goals—and have the blessing of meeting incredible people doing incredible things.

Last Wednesday I worked out in my basement with Shaun T. This past weekend I worked out with him in person in Paris. The same world-renowned Shaun T that I’ve had the privilege of working alongside as an elite Beachbody coach over the past decade. I don’t share this as a #humblebrag. I’m saying this so that you can understand this:

You can do anything you put your mind to. Absolutely anything.

As a young mom, I only wanted to make ends meet. I didn’t expect to end up leading a 9x Elite Superstar Diamond team of thousands of women from around the world. I just wanted a little extra cash to help my family out when I signed on to be an online fitness coach with Beachbody. But my passion for helping others and blessing my family soon grew into something I never imagined. Before long, I was covering our mortgage, paying for my daughters’ extracurriculars, affording us fun family vacations, and more. And I was traveling the world meeting incredible people doing incredible things. (Psst…I’ll let you in on a little secret — in a few short months I’ll be bringing some of those amazing people directly to you in a brand new podcast!)

So today I write to you from Paris, full of gratitude and more importantly, to encourage you to not sell yourself short. Life is full of beautiful opportunities, ripe for the taking. And you have what it takes, my friend, to grab hold of this life and do something amazing with it. Even if right now—at this very moment—you don’t feel it. I promise you’ve got it. All it takes is the willingness to believe in yourself and to take one tiny step towards your dream life.

This month I’m opening a few more spots in my online fitness group called The Shed. We are shedding weight, yes, but more importantly, through fitness and this community, we can also shed the mental baggage that holds us back in life. This group not only encourages us to have an amazing PRESENT, but also gets us ready to crush a new program releasing NEXT month, Morning Meltdown 100!

Will you consider joining us? I’d be happy to tell you more about it. Simply message me on Instagram or email julie@julievoris.com. I’d love to save a spot for you. You belong here.
